Dream Theater

What songs do you want to see played live?

Here is what I predict for a 2-hour setlist based on what they played in Europe over the summer, plus the fact that half the set will likely be new album material:

(Intro: "The Dream is Collapsing)
On The Backs Of Angels
These Walls
Lost Not Forgotten
Endless Sacrifice
Drum Solo
Ytse Jam
This Is The Life
Bridges In The Sky
Peruvian Skies
Caught In A Web
Through My Words
Fatal Tragedy
Far From Heaven
Breaking All Illusions
----------------------------
Metropolis Pt 1

I'm hoping they open this tour with Bridges in the Sky. If you think stage and light show for the beginning of this epic song, its perfect. The indian chanted sleigh bells and the deathly bellows with a dark venue while the guys take the stage... Wow. I predict ending the songlist before the encores with Breaking all Illusions. In between, would like to hear The Great Debate, Octavarium, In the Presence of Enemies II (or I and II), Learning to Live, Lines in the Sand, Fatal Tragedy. Many others.

As far as space dye vest, I read in their book that they will never play that live.

General setlist looking good so far. Could do without Forsaken, Great Debate and Pull Me Under. I'd trade all 3 for an epic closer like InThe Presence of Enemies, Count of Tuscany, Octavarium (or ACOS, but I know that won't happen without MP). Hopefully they'll work in my favorite song from the new album - Lost Not Forgotten. That bridge toward the end is euphoric.

Love the new album!!!! See you in Boston!!!

Get rid of the Drum Solo and do Lost Not Forgotten.

Alot of songs depend on if wether Labrie can pull them off or not. There's nothing worse than hearing your favourite songs being butchered by 1 musicians bad evening.

Songs I'd like to hear are:

Far From Heaven, Breaking All Illusions, Glass Prison and Take The Time.

i wouldn't mind if they played all of the new album, even if it took up over half the set!

Where do i begin, there's so many, but i suppose these are the main ones:-

6:00
Voices
Peruvian Skies
Lines In The Sand...( all the time)
The Spirit Carries On
As I am
In The Name Of God
In The Presence Of Enemies Pts 1&2...( just awsome on Chaos In Motion )
The Count O Tuscany ( done to death on last tour, so probably wont get a look in, but having never seen em' live before, this one's a must for me, such a stirring track )

As well anything from ADTOE, so going by all that, i reckon thats a five hour gig, i'm up for it if they are.

It'll be my first show, so it's all good! (Boston on Columbus Day night)

I'd love to have seen Portnoy's 12-step done in it's entirety (Mirror, Glass Prison, This Dying Soul, Root of All Evil, Repentance, Shattered Fortress), but that's probably out of the question now.

Hell's Kitchen/Lines in the Sand from NM

How often do they play Change of Seasons?
