Pull me Under got me from the moment I heard it on the radio way back when.

I shold really say re-discovered them.

I played drums in the 80's early 90's all metal and hardrock and listened and practise music 24/7. One of my good friends realy liked them but it didn't realy tickle me back then.
I ended up moving to Australia and left my kit, music, friends and family behind.

17 years later i was checking out drummers on YOUTUBE and came a cross Mike Portnoy.
That was it, from zero albums with DT I have all the studio albums and a couple of DVD's and that is just within the year of re-discover them.
They are everything for me, they lift me up, who needs the V-drink, Bull or Mother, just bloody put DREAM THEATRE on, that would give you wings.

What the hell was I doing for the last 17years, DT forever and Mike Portnoy on his new journey

My best friend introduced them to me. Take the time and Metropolis Pt. 1 were the first tracks I heard and it blew me away. Then I heard Octavarium and I became hooked! This was around 2009, so I am pretty much a newbie but I've caught up to the DT history!

I got hooked because they friggin' GRRRREAT! I was always a HUGE YES fan and was bummed out when they went downhill. I wondered who would pick up the torch and run with it, well I found out.

My dad got hooked on them in 93 I believe after hearing "Images and Words", I was born in 94 and was practically listening to the band straight from the womb. By age 6 I had already got my own drumset for christmas and was inspired to be the next Portnoy haha. I saw the band on the Metropolis 2000 tour and ever since I have been absolutely in love with the band and the many side projects the members have been involved in. I believe this tour will be my 7th time seeing the band, and it just gets better every time!

I remember waiting in line to get I&W with a guitar playing buddy of mine. He turned me on the DT with that albumn, particularly Learning to Live. I have been hooked ever since, own damn near every albumn and single, seen em live six times now, and know every note played. The dynamic sound is what drew me in and has kept me for so long.

I Become to be a DT's fan when I listen to one of the greats songs ever: Learning to live.
My brother gave to me the album, and to be honest, all musics from Images and Words touched deeper in my soul.

Hey, sorry for language mistakes, my english is kind of poor, but I'm loving to be here!

I saw pull me under, on MTV. I went out and bought the cassette. Side two was my favorite Especially Under a glass moon. Incredible stuff. I have all their studio albums now, I have seen them twice, Once with MP, and now with MM.
I love the twin lead work with the keyboard and the guitar, It gets me everytime I hear it.
The Bass work on Metropolis pt1 made my jaw drop. Mike Portnoy he is just Too Good.
Mangini is getting there.

My cousin played fatal tragedy for when SFAM came out and I was like "what the hell was that?". I then went out my next opportunity and bought their entire catalog up to that point and have been hooked ever since!

I am a Tony Levin fan and I came accross Liquid Tension Experiment. I bought the CD and I was thinking 'wow, who the **** are these guys.' Went out and bought SFAM and I've been hooked ever since.
