Breaking all the illusions ranks #1 for me on this album, not yet sure overall but at least top 10.

It's my favorite song on the album, and it's in my Dream Theater Top 5, which would now go like this...

Myung is indeed the best lyricist in DT, I noticed his lyrics has pretty much yielded some of the best DT songs i.e. Learning To Live, Fatal Tragedy. If he wrote more for the next album, oh man..*mind explodes* |

Haven't heard Breaking All Illusions yet but I am a fan of the JMX lyrics. Not as much as Kevin Moore though. To me, his lyrics are absolutely amazing and the stuff he penned for some of their songs is just absolutely incredible (Lie and Space Dye Vest come to mind - great lyrics).

The lyrics on BAI are truly amazing, as every JM lyric. I wonder to what extent JP was involved in the writing process.

It's not only the lyrics, this guy has a good hand choosing songs to write lyrics to. Until now every song with JMX Lyrics is a DT Tier 1!
