I have got the impression that DT have far more male fans than female. Come on girls where are you all.

Women are intuitive by nature, and comprehend that long solos and unisons are mere attempts to compensate for a poverty of phallic mass. I'm joking; I have no idea why women don't like Dream Theater.

However, I have known plenty of women who enjoyed DT, but judging from your average concert you'd think there were none.

They've been my favorite band for 17 years.

I know a girl in school who "likes" Dream Theater. I however am the only dream theater fan left in boiling springs. where are you all?

IMO. I see DT female fan sightings similar to Big Foot sightings; rare and filled with skepticism. No offense Tapring or other ladies, just wanting to add some caution to this thread before a large man in a gorilla suit walks into a DT fans life.

And I have been a fan for 18 years. The sister, not so much. She just cannot get into the 10 minute songs, she prefers the 3-4 minute songs you hear on the radio. B-O-R-I-N-G!!!!!!!!

That's too bad - both of my sisters love them too! I've always been the biggest DT freak though.

@Tapring: That's good to hear that a good taste for music exists in female hearts somewhere, instead of the usual " popular" Crap!

I agree with mangini, they don't out the time into listening to an album multiple times enough to rewire their brains for ten minute songs with so many time changes. my girlfriend used to tell me I had to worst taste in music and would try to make me turn them off in the car. behold four years of hearing them now being with me that long, she loves them. I took her to the concert last October and she couldn't wait for them to come back, so behold we will be doing m&g for second time in one year in July.

To be honest, i don't have any female friends who like Dream Theater, i'd love to meet one :)
